Gray Cabinets-tell me your thoughts
The kitchen in our soon-to-be-home is original from 1990. The cabinets are oak and it has corian counter tops with a navy blue strip running through it. Once we've closed I'll post actual photos but for now i'll stick with the word picture.
Despite being dated, the cabinets are actually in excellent condition. The layout of the kitchen is great too and so our original plan was to just have the cabinets professionally painted rather than replacing everything. We had a few companies come out and give estimates and turns out...painting cabinets is expensive! The quotes we received came in at $5,000! After hearing that news, my husband decided to price out new cabinets. We gutted the kitchen in our previous house about two years ago and loved the company we used. We decided to check with them before making a final decision. In the end, we decided to go the brand-new route. It will be a bit more expensive but we will get exactly what we want. Spending $5,000 to repaint 27 year old cabinets seems like a bit of a waste of money...
So we're pretty excited about the concept of a new kitchen! The company we used before recently added the option of doing gray cabinets, which is what I've been wanting! Here are a few photos that have inspired me.
In the house we sold, we put in a copper farm sink that we absolutely loved, loved, loved! We want to do that again, but I'm having a hard time finding photos of the copper sink with gray cabinets. I have found a lot of photos that incorporate copper hardware though and I'm loving that look. So I think we'll end up doing the copper sink again, hopefully it all works well together.
What are your thoughts on gray cabinets? They have really become popular in the last few years, do you love them or hate them? How about the combination of copper hardware and gray?

Love this copper hardware! It looks good on the gray right?
This is the color of the cabinets we're going for and this is close to the color of the wood floors in the kitchen, the main difference would be that our sink would be the copper farm sink.
This is the copper sink.
